Fashion Icon

Fashion Icon... What's the definition of a fashion icon?
A person or thing that is very well known as being highly fashionable.

Victoria Beckham receives the first-ever fashion icon award at PCAs 2018.
Victoria Beckham 's style is being chic and glamorous but simplistic. From posh to powerful.
She's my inspiration, a successful and powerful businesswoman.

Whenever I step out, I look glamorous and stylish(That's what people told me)
I'm not a style icon or socialite. People defined my style as elegant.
My style also seriously versatile, meaning that I can appear just as comfortable and gorgeous.
If you have read my previous post-  'Simple Styling Tips For Petite Girls', it's obviously talking myself. I'm a 5'1 petite girl. I don't have a model shape and that height. But I know what kind of style becomes you. As you get older, I think you see what works for you and what doesn't.
Work Style- relaxed suiting and easy shapes in a Parisienne palette of pretty neutrals. Like the earth tone colour, beige/ khaki/ creamy pale grey. When I was in my early twenties, more tend to pastel tone colour. But now, I'd prefer the earth tone colour, just simple and chic.

Franziska's style is classical, coordinate, structure and timeless. I like a simple way to look polished and put-together with minimal effort. As with everything we're fawning over, the power is in how you wear it. Here are the top 12 rules of Franziska' style:

  •  Classic White Shirts
From fitted to loose, traditional or long, this collared, chic separate pairs perfectly for casual or more professional settings.
Dressed up or down, this humble garment injects elegance into any outfit.
  • Skinny Jeans
It's incredibly easy to make distressed skinnies feel sophisticated- simply add a luxe sweater and stilettos. Skinny jeans have now transitioned into a classic style and wardrobe staple.
Perfect for casual outfits, these chic pants project a relaxed elegance that perfectly suits.
  • Midi Skirt
I would never wear miniskirt/ hot-pants, and never wear anything too tight.
'The idea of anything that's overly sexy, overly clinging, or overly look-at-me has simply gone out the window' -Anna Wintour
  • Monochrome
Sometimes, it's good to try the bold bright style and vibrant prints. But if you have doubts then don't do it. Teaming black and white is an easy shortcut to pared-back elegance, a high-contrast approach to getting dressed that can be as formal or as laid-back as you like.
It's part of my daily uniform and is so easy to mix and match.
  • Patterns
The geometric pattern is meant for anyone and can be worn at any time with anything. Camo and stripes/ florals and checks/ tartan and geometric prints. Stripes,  checks and polka dots will always have a classic and stylish look. Besides, the retro-pattern is my favourite, for instance, the paisley print, chain print and floral print blouse.
  • Bralette
I would never wear a push-up bra. We think that small breasts are sexy too.
  • Coat
A statement jacket is a must-have. I like the timeless investment piece. Like trend coat, blazer, raincoat, wrap jacket, tweed jacket and wool coat.
  • Ballerinas
I would never wear sky-high heels. I usually wear my Veja or low-cut ballerina/ pointed loafers to work. If you've read my previous post of 'Shoeaholic', my favourite shoe brand are Pretty Ballerinas, Staccato and Converse. For me, comfort is key.
  • Accessories
Accessories can really make or break your outfits.
Jewellery- Rings, Earrings, Necklaces, Cuffs, Bracelets, Watch
I would never wear more than three pieces of jewellery at once. A statement piece of jewellery, like a cocktail ring or great bracelet, is something you can wear every day to add a polished touch.
Oscar de la Renta, Monica Vinader and Links of London are my favourite jewellery's brand. Rose-gold is my favourite.
Belts-
Belts can be statement pieces and can be worn over shirts, blazers and dresses.
Scarves-
Scarves can create multiple looks with outfits. Don't limit yourself to putting them around the neck, use them in bags or waist.
Sunglasses-
Eyeglasses are not just merely eyewear. No woman looks as cool as when she's wearing a pair of sharp sunglasses. The classic black and tortoiseshell is a must-have item. I love oversized sunglasses, I always wear my Bvlgari square sunglasses, it just fit my face perfectly. My favourite eyewear brands are Fendi, CĂ©line, Gucci and Miu Miu.
Bags-
Who doesn't love handbags? I like high-quality leather goods. Take my calfskin tote bag from Salvatore Ferragamo, it just simple and classic. And they also tested the strength of straps strap fastenings as well, which I can put my laptop, files and magazine inside.
For other leather accessories, I love my custom iPhone case from Lucrin Geneva and my cardholder from Mulberry.
  • A Good Tailor
Tailoring and alterations can transform an everyday garment into an item that feels and looks amazing to wear. Quality is more valuable than quantity. With professional tailoring, you can even find high-quality items at thrift and consignment shops that tailors can easily alter suit your body shape and needs.

  • Make-up
Brown eyeshadow is a particular favourite, I always add further definition to my eye area with a swipe of dark brown eyeliner, brown brow pencil and mascara. The contour stick and bronzer is a must-have item. IT gives a natual glow and adds dimension. I choose to keep the rest of my makeup minimal, including my lips, which I often coat with a soft coral lipstick from Dior.
*I'd never wear faux eyelashes.

  • Hair
It may not technically be an accessory, but when it comes to creating an outfit, hair can certainly act like it is. Whether worn up, down, straight or curly, your locks can dramatically change your look. My signature hairstyle is a green-brown mid-length cut with a little curled inwards.
I usually just pull my hair into a low ponytail with an elastic band to work.
